How to Play
Welcome to PixToLingo, where imagery sparks wordplay! Can you decipher the phrases?
Game Overview
- Each puzzle contains tiles, and each tile has a graphic that represents a single word. Tap here for an example.
- When read from top to bottom, the tiles form a well-known saying, cliche, idiom, quote, or jargonistic phrase.
- When you think you know the answer, type it in the box and tap Guess!
- Answers are not case-sensitive, and you have up to four attempts.
- New puzzles of varying difficulty become available daily at midnight eastern time. You also have the option to complete the previous day's puzzle (if you haven't already).
Tips
- Strategy: Remember, you are guessing an entire phrase. If you come across a word you don't know, move on to the rest. Correctly guessing those words may help you determine unknown words.
- Non-Literal: Some images may not directly represent the word they signify. An image of an oar, an object used to row a boat, could represent the word 'or,' a conjunction.
- Blue Arrows: Be mindful of where these arrows are pointing.
- Puzzle Within a Puzzle: You will see tiles that
contain imagery representing the title of a
song
, artwork
, movie
, TV show
, or book
. It is your job to find the missing word. Use the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the tile to determine the title genres.
